APPLY TO VOLUNTEER

Every program at Northshore Senior Center runs on the same thing: people who show up for their neighbors. Our volunteers are the heartbeat of this organization, powering our programs and services for older adults, people with disabilities, and family caregivers across the Northshore region. Whether it's serving a meal, leading a class, or driving someone to a doctor's appointment, every hour given here keeps our community beating strong. This is where your time becomes someone else's connection, independence, and joy.

How to Volunteer

To volunteer with Northshore Senior Center, fill out our volunteer application. All volunteers must complete a background check as part of the approval process. Once your application has been processed, our volunteer coordinator will contact you to help identify a volunteer role that's a good fit for you.

The minimum age to volunteer at Northshore Senior Center is 18.

Seniors Helping Seniors – Paid Opportunity

Seniors Helping Seniors is Northshore Senior Center's paid opportunity program, connecting community members who have practical life skills with older adults in the community who need that help — in exchange for a negotiated fee. All potential service providers are interviewed and screened through the Washington State Patrol system. NSC's volunteer Employment Matching Program receives calls daily from people asking for help; when we find a good match for what a client needs, we'll call to see if you're interested. If you are, you contact the client directly to discuss the job and negotiate a fee.

• Handymen (no ladder or roof work required)

• Yardwork
