Facility Updates, Renovations and Closures

The NPRSA (Northshore Parks and Recreation Service Area) is continuing to work on our long list of capital improvements. The carpet install at the Health & Wellness Building is mostly complete, and although the bridge has taken a bit longer than expected, that job is starting to wind down. We will be having a re-opening event, so be on the lookout for more information. Some of the projects that were expected to be done this year had to be delayed until the Spring, but in the long run, this will help us get more projects done at once which will hopefully allow for less impact on the Center overall.
One project that will be happening soon though is new flooring at the Bothell Senior Center! The Center will be closed October 3rd – October 7th for the actual install but staff and volunteers will be busy preparing by continuing to clean, and organize different areas. We will then start packing up offices and administrative areas the last week of September. We cannot wait for everyone to return on October 10th to beautiful new flooring!
We continue to see improvements to the grounds thanks to the amazing work of our dedicated volunteers. We are always looking for extra hands though so if you like to play in the dirt or putter in the yard, we could definitely use your help! Speaking of help, we are also looking to fill multiple open positions at NSC. If you, or someone you know, is looking for a great place to work and wants to work for an organization that not only supports seniors, caregivers and their families, but all of the surrounding Northshore communities, check out our Careers Page on our website for more information.
