Depression Management

Depression affects your health and quality of life.

Depression affects up to 20% of older adults.

Depression is not a normal part of aging.

PEARLS (Program to Encourage Active Rewarding Lives for Seniors) is an evidence-based depression management program for mild depression or dysthymia (chronic depression). PEARLS helps you build, or rebuild, the skills you need to manage depression. The program uses problem solving treatment, social and physical activity, and pleasant activity scheduling to manage your symptoms of depression. All this is done with a trained PEARLS counselor.

The original research on PEARLS demonstrated that PEARLS participants were more likely to see a reduction in their symptoms of depression or experience complete remission from depression. Participants also had greater improvements in functional and emotional well-being. Join the PEARLS program and learn an easy, empowering approach to managing your depression.
