Seniors Shut Out By King County Budget Cuts. Watch the video

Overview

Northshore Senior Center offers a wide variety of programs and services to promote the emotional, social, and physical well-being of older adults. We are innovative and adaptive in our programming – creating programs that do not exist to meet needs that do.

October 2011 NEWS FLASH!!
Help keep funding for Northshore Adult Day Center!

The governor is contemplating the complete elimination of adult day health services. Should this happen, it would severely impact the ability of people to stay at home and put a huge burden back on their caregivers. Once lost, restoring this vital program would be difficult if not impossible and certainly very costly.

Two ways you can help:

1) Call the state legislative hotline (1 800 562-6000) and express your concern. For example, "Please do not harm 1000 elderly and disabled people. Please maintain the Adult Day health program."

2) Write a letter to the Governor with a copy to DSHS Secretary Susan Dreyfus.  Download a sample letter – you could add by handwriting a personal example or tell how it affects your family or your friends.  Send to:
