Current Opportunities

Why volunteer? Think civic engagement is purely an altruistic, self-inspired achievement...think again. Everyone benefits from your volunteering-YOU and NSC benefit as one together. We are a microcosm within our global community.

Short on time...how about being a sub or on-call volunteer? The volunteer opportunities listed below just barely scratch the surface. Don’t see something on the list-make a suggestion of how you might be able to contribute at NSC.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

  • Auction/Fundraising 
  • Cafe (only on Wednesday. Food Handler's Permit required)
  • Special Events 
  • Trainers/Facilitators 
  • Working with people who have disabilities 
  • Coffee Bar-Food Handler's Permit required. Approximately 4 hour shifts 7:30am-12pm or 12pm-4:30pm 
  • Data Entry
  • Computer Learning Center
  • Employment Office-4 hour shift 8:30-12:15 or 12:15-4:30 
  • Fitness Center-Open M-F  
  • Kitchen Helpers-cook, dishwasher & food prep (Food Handler's Permit required) 
  • General Office Work
  • Gift Shop
  • Handy Folks
  • Instructors (computer) 
  • Gardening 
  • Meals on Wheels 
  • Pancake Breakfast-1st & 3rd Saturday of every month. Servers, cook, clean-up 
  • Receptionists-Front Desk, Social Services and at our Health & Wellness Building. 4 hour shifts 8:15am-12:15pm or 12:15-4:30pm.
  • Roustabouts (helps set up chairs, tables, etc. for special events)
  • Rummage Sale-August 
  • Outreach to members
